Kitty Cards

From Love and Deepspace Wiki

Kitty Cards is a card minigame in Playtime that is unlocked after Main Story 4-13. Playing Kitty Cards awards players with Meowco to spend at the Kitty Counter to obtain Meow Badges.

As of Love and Deepspace 2.0 Preview Livestream, the kitties of Meow Cafe debut on Deepspace Mews. They are Honeydew (Kitty), Calico (Kitty), Brownie (Kitty), Salmon (Kitty) and an unnamed purple tabby.

How to play[edit | edit source]

There are two players in this game. The first player will receive 2 Number Cards and 1 Assist Card. The second player will receive 3 Number Cards and 2 Assist Card. At the start of each player's round, the player will receive an additional Assist Card from the dealer. The player must earn more points to win the game. Scoring occurs when the kitties fill up all 8 cups.

Round Phases[edit | edit source]

There are two phases in the advanced mode of the game - Assist Card Phase and Number Card Phase. (Normal mode only consists of the Number Card Phase.)

Kitty Cards - Assist Card Phase
Kitty Cards - Assist Card Phase

Assist Card Phase

  • The player can play as many Assist Cards as they wish to play.
  • To move on to the next phase, press the End button. (The phase will automatically end when there are no Assist Cards available to play.)
Kitty Cards - Number Card Phase
Kitty Cards - Number Card Phase

Number Card Phase

  • The player must choose to either play a card or draw a card.
  • The phase ends after completing one of the above actions.

Scoring[edit | edit source]

  • Number Cards indicate the point value of the kitty played.
  • Place a Number Card in a cup to score points.
  • There are multipliers on the points based on the colors of the cat and cup:
  • x1 multiplier - when any cat color is placed in a white cup
  • x2 multiplier - when the cat color and the cup color are the same
  • x0 multiplier - when the cat color and the cup color are different (excluding white cups)

Additional Rules and Information[edit | edit source]

  • The player can not have more than 10 cards total in their hand. (This applies to both normal and advanced mode.)
  • Card burn occurs when the player pulls a card from the pile that must be removed from their hand. (This does not go into the discard pile.) There are two ways for a card to be burned:
  1. When the player draws a new card and they have 10 cards in their hand.
  2. When the player receives an Assist Card at the beginning of a round and they have 10 cards in their hand.
