Sylus is a character in Love and Deepspace. He was officially revealed as a new Companion and love interest on social media, and he was introduced as part of the Version 2.0 update, Opposing Visions.

Sylus is known as the leader of Onychinus, a mysterious faction in the N109 Zone known for its illicit business dealings. He does not meet the Main Character until Main Story: [Long-Awaited Revelry] 1-2 when she enters the N109 Zone to investigate Onychinus on a personal mission.

Main Story

Under Deepspace

Love and Deepspace first alludes to Sylus's existence in Main Story [Under Deepspace] Chapter 7: Monlight Under Sea after the Main Character accesses the highest-rank database in the Hunters Association. By this point in time, she is convinced there must be a connection between Onychinus and the researchers who experimented on her and likely implanted the Aether Core in her heart.

The Main Character finds a news article dated two years prior to the game's events, where a man was murdered in a luxurious apartment. She gathers more information via an insider channel and she learns the victim was said to be an important researcher for Ever's biopharmaceutical company. She also obtains a single crime scene photo and a bad audio clip where the former glimpses tendrils of smoke at the crime scene and the latter features the voice of who she assumes is involved with Onychinus.

The Main Character comes across an injured dove but finds that she cannot bring it with her on her business trip. She gets the idea of enlisting Sylus for his help and she has to convince him that by caring for the dove, he is also doing it for her sake. Sylus eventually agrees and the pair plan to meet in a week's time.

Upon the Main Character's return, she finds the white dove to be significantly healthier than when she saw it last—and it acts like a bird of prey when it swoops towards her before perching on Sylus' fingertip. She teases Sylus by asking if the dove has turned into a crow under his guidance, to which he provides a noncommittal response. He does, however, suggest that Mephisto has become like a dove in the meantime.

The two drive to Linkon's downtown area and the Main Character enourages Sylus to release the dove, though not without asking if all doves raised by him turn out to be sad. When Sylus asks her why she would enlist his help to care for the dove, especially as she's confirmed he is "ruthless, decisive, cruel, and merciless," the Main Character is stumped and simply explains she hoped it would work out in the end.

As soon as Sylus releases the white dove and it flies away, fireworks explode and light up the night sky. The pair spend a soft and quiet moment as the Main Character ponders on Sylus' tendency to protect those he wants to protect and to protect them well. Despite Sylus' attempt to dissuade her from thinking too highly of him, the Main Character says it doesn't matter as she is not a dove who needs his protection. The Memoria ends with light-hearted banter between the two and Sylus jokingly wrapping the Main Character's head in a scarf, obscuring her view.

Captivating Moment

Sylus' first Myth can be obtained by increasing his Affinity to Darling Lv. 35 first and by obtaining the Memories Captivating Lesson and Captivating Flavor. Ascending both Memories unlock Myth episodes via Myth Shards.

Obtaining both Memories also unlocks the CA Memory Pair, the Companion Sylus: Relentless Conqueror, and the exclusive Weapon Harrier 700. Ranking up both Memories twice can unlock the Outfit set Crimson Tempest, Torn Clothes for both, and the unique "Onychinus Dominator" Title.
